For those eager to learn more about Halo: Flashpoint, Mantic has released a behind-the-scenes video detailing how their team in Nottingham brought the iconic combat from the Halo universe to the tabletop. This new tactical miniatures game for two or more players features classic Halo game modes, troop types, and weapons, offering a game that is easy to learn but difficult to master.

In response to high demand, Mantic Games will reopen its web store in October. Many retailers have already sold out of their pre-order allocations, but Mantic is preparing additional print runs to meet the continued interest in the game. Mantic has stated that this is the largest print run the company has ever produced, reflecting the high level of excitement surrounding the game.

Mantic has plans to expand Halo: Flashpoint with new content in early 2025. Additional releases are expected between January and March, with more details to be announced soon.

Abyssal Berserkers

The Abyssal Berserkers are a new Large Infantry unit designed to add speed and offensive power to the Abyssal forces. These fast-moving units can quickly traverse the battlefield, targeting weaker enemy units with their multiple attacks. Though somewhat fragile, they have a chance to regenerate on a 5+, allowing them to recover some damage before engaging in combat.

Abyssal Nagarri

The Abyssal Nagarri is a chariot-sized unit that stands out for its ability to enhance the regenerative capabilities of nearby units. The Nagarri’s aura effect increases regeneration rolls by +1, making it a valuable support unit, particularly for lower Abyssal hordes, which can benefit from increased survivability in prolonged engagements.

The Lord of Lies

The Lord of Lies, a centerpiece model, offers a range of tactical abilities, primarily through its Seeds of Distrust special rule. This ability prevents nearby enemy units from gaining bonuses from aura effects, disrupting enemy plans and forcing them to reconsider their strategies.

The new starter set immerses players in the tactical and action-packed tabletop game of Firefight, featuring the noble Asterians and the formidable Nightstalkers. To celebrate this significant development, Mantic Games has also announced their first new project together—a special collection marking the 40th Anniversary of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth. The expansion includes a variety of goblin characters, each designed with unique attributes. The miniatures feature detailed sculpts, enhancing the visual and tactical aspects of gameplay. Following the events in the Halls of Dureg, “Glimmer of Greed” tasks players with exploring a fortress in the Dragon Teeth Mountains. The objective is to prevent a goblin leader from seizing a powerful ancient relic. The storyline builds towards an intensive finale, structured to create a cinematic experience.

The expansion builds on the core game with additional gameplay components. These include new exploration cards, enhanced door mechanisms, treasure collections, and trap settings. Dungeon Saga Origins: Legendary Edition, priced at $150.00, includes more than 40 adventures that span four main quests, each designed to last between 60 to 120 minutes. Suitable for 1-5 players aged 10 and up, the game takes place in the fantasy world of Pannithor, allowing players to choose and customize their heroes.
