Designed to add presence to any tabletop, Cathedral Dice sets are 20% larger than standard dice, with the D20 “Chonks” reaching a bold 35mm. Fully funded within its first hour on Kickstarter, the campaign has already drawn significant interest with almost $34000 pledged so far, running until November 26.

The Kickstarter offers two deck options: the Founder’s Deck, with themes from the Elven Grove and Wizard’s Tower, where each draw represents a potential outcome tied to these settings. The new Crime & Punishment Character Deck portrays the journeys of a Rogue and a Paladin, visually progressing from early stages to higher levels.

Draw 20 emphasizes community involvement, with players voting on future decks and featuring artwork from community artists. Illustrator Tamara Osborn designed the Crime & Punishment deck, contributing fantasy-themed visuals that support gameplay immersion. Castle of the Vampire Lord includes modular features, allowing players to customize rooms with removable doors, walls, and arches. Each floor is divided into sections for FDM printing, utilizing Openlock clips for stability and easy disassembly. LED lighting options have also been integrated, providing backers with accessible, re-usable LED solutions for lighting effects, adding atmosphere to the castle.

As part of Axolote Gaming’s campaign, stretch goals are unlocked every $1.5k, adding new elements such as props, creatures, and room furnishings, with additional rewards when a full floor is unlocked. Backers pledging at higher tiers, including the “Lord of the Castle” level, gain access to cross-promotion packs featuring models from collaborating creators. File distribution will occur through MyMiniFactory, allowing flexible access and download options for backers.

The Castle of the Vampire Lord campaign has gathered strong support, with $13,447 pledged of its $2,491 goal and 161 backers. With 15 days remaining, the campaign will run until November 15.

The Terrain Set features plain terrain maps, designed to serve as a neutral backdrop for fantasy TTRPG adventures. The maps are compatible with miniatures and 3D scenery, and can be customized using reusable scenery clings or wet-erase markers.

The books are designed to be expandable, allowing them to be laid side by side to create larger maps. This setup enables smooth transitions between different areas, helping Game Masters design more expansive environments for gameplay.

Each Terrain Set includes reusable scenery stickers that can be added, removed, and repositioned as needed. The stickers adhere securely to the maps and can be adjusted without leaving any residue.

The battle mats are made from durable materials and are designed to lay flat on the table. They are also compatible with wet-erase markers, allowing further customization during sessions.

Each map page measures 12×12 inches, and the books open to 12×24 inches. They can be combined in various ways, with the most common configuration being a 24×24-inch map. The 360° spine design allows the maps to lay flat for easier use during play.

The Terrain Set will be available in October 2024

Each deck consists of 72 cards divided into eight smaller sub-decks, representing the dice found in a standard D20 set. Players draw a card from the corresponding deck to determine their roll. The system can be used like regular dice, but with the optional Discard Mode, rolls are discarded until all sides of the die have been used, introducing an element of strategy to the game.

The optional Power-Roll Add-On Deck adds another dynamic to gameplay. This 35-card deck allows players to modify their rolls with potential benefits or risks, offering another layer of decision-making during the game.

Stretch goals include alternate deck colors and special editions if the campaign exceeds its funding goal. The DEKA-DICE campaign runs through November 2.

The helmets are currently available for pre-order on Weta Workshop’s website, priced at $99 USD (£75.48). Each helmet is made from polystone, a durable cold-cast resin, and has been hand-painted. The lead sculptor for this project is Victor Gully, known for his previous work on other iconic Weta Workshop creations, including a notable Balrog statue.

Though not suitable for cosplay, these mini helmet replicas offer Warhammer 40k fans a collectible option for home décor. The craftsmanship reflects Weta Workshop’s attention to detail, making them a unique addition to any Warhammer collection.

This collaboration continues the ongoing relationship between Weta Workshop and Games Workshop, which has produced several Warhammer-themed items, including a large statue of the Chaos Space Marine leader Abaddon the Despoiler, as well as a Lieutenant Titus statue from Space Marine 2.

The map collection comes in a specially designed box, featuring a magnetic closing panel, and includes over 30 maps that bring various settings to life. Artists have recreated the maps originally presented in black and white, giving Dungeon Masters and players alike detailed visuals to elevate gameplay. The collection also includes two large area maps, printed on durable canvas, depicting iconic locations from the Greyhawk setting, such as the City of Greyhawk and Eastern Oerik.

Crate3D, a design company known for its 3D printable products, has announced its upcoming Kickstarter campaign for the JudoGrid Modular Display System. Originally based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Crate3D relocated to a new office on Broadway in New York City after a series of successful Kickstarter campaigns. Now, settled in their new space, they are ready to launch their largest project yet.

The JudoGrid Modular Display System is designed to offer a customizable solution for displaying action figures, tabletop minifigures, and other collectibles. Its modular design allows users to create display cases of any size, expanding both horizontally and vertically to accommodate various shapes and sizes of collectibles.

This new venture builds on the success of the Omni 1, a 3D printable product that raised over $450,000 on Kickstarter in 2023 with 6,437 backers. Following this success, Crate3D received numerous requests for a physical version of their display system. In response, they assembled the JudoGrid team, which has spent the past year and a half developing and testing this new system. The result is a minimalist design with a variety of accessories to enhance functionality and versatility.

“Our digital file campaigns were much easier as the cost was just labor and testing. We now have molds, mass production, international shipping and a ton of bigger obstacles. A lot is riding on the success of this campaign,” said Austen Hartley, CEO of Crate3D.

Crate3D is in the process of finalizing patents, working with suppliers, receiving samples, and preparing marketing materials in anticipation of the campaign’s launch on September 10th, 2024.
